- The QSA has been impressed with an incorrect service number “978” and should read “974.” (Again, a simple enough error).

974 Private T. Allen is listed on the medal roll for the 2nd Battalion, The King’s Liverpool Regiment entitled to the Indian General Service Medal – Burma 1885-87.
He is also listed on the medal roll for the 2nd Battalion, The King’s Shropshire Light Infantry entitled to the Queen’s South Africa Medal – Cape Colony, Paardeberg and Driefontein. Noted as returning to England on the 8th of May 1900.
